Instructor Chris Bart
A West Michigan native, Chris started painting watercolors in 1998. Her mentor was talented local watercolor artist, Molly Bakker, who inspired her to take classes from top artists. Following her advice, Chris took classes from some of the best watercolor artists and teachers of our time: Tom Lynch; Cheng-Khee Chee; Dan Burt; Mark MeHaffey; Steve Rogers; Mary Whyte; Don Andrews; Joe Miller; Roland Roycraft; Eric Wiegardt, Arleta Pech and Alvaro Castagnet. Her favorite teacher was the late Margaret Martin, whose book "No More Wishy Washy Watercolor" was inspirational in helping her obtain beautifully rich and intense watercolors. In 2012, Chris retired from a 42 year marketing career and was free to travel the world. Her camera and watercolor journal have gone with her capturing the beauty and special moments with the people and places she visits.
