Carolina Albrizzio-López Watercolor Class
Recommended Materials list:
*NOTE: Please bring what you may already have on hand. Estero Art League will also have supplies available for students to use in class.
1. Basic Western watercolors paint set ( No Kuretaki Gansai, koi or Asian style paints) with primary colors like:
• Minimalist basic set of 3 colors could include, lemon yellow, quinacridone magenta
(PV19), phthalo blue (PB15:3) or similar primaries.
• Or Windsor & Newton Cotman sketchers pocket set of 12
• Or basic set of primaries of your brand choice.
2. Watercolor paper: Cold Press/140 lbs/300gsm thickness - no exceptions. May be student grade or cotton blend in one of these sizes 5” x 7”, 8.5” x 11” or larger. Some brands Baohong from Amazon, Strathmore, Canson or Fabriano available at Michaels/Amazon.
3. Watercolor Round brushes synthetic or combination hair, with a good fine tip. I use the brand Silver Black Velvet 3000S
• One Medium round brush size #8-10 (the most important)
• One Small round brush # 2-4 (optional)
• One Large: 3/4” - 1” flat, mop, or oval for covering large areas quickly
4. 2 cups/jars for water
5. A spray bottle for water
6. Painters tape (masking tape)
7. A waterproof board to attach your paper
8. A small block to prop up the support board to keep it at a slight angle
9. A rag/paper towels
10. Hairdryer or heat gun (optional) class room has a couple
11. Office supplies: HB pencil, Soft vinyl eraser, Sharpener, Ruler

12. Kneaded eraser
13. Salt/ alcohol
